CLOCKING ON AND CLOCKING OFF WITH SOCIAL MEDIA
It’s always been difficult to obtain clarity on the boundaries between home and work – increasingly so in the 21st century when our lives are becoming increasingly public. When does behaviour that happens out of hours affect the reputation of our workplace and our ability to carry out our job? Social Media presents us with another blurry line in the work / home distinction.

National Minimum Wage Increase - Avoid Underpayments
The Fair Work Commission has determined that a 3.0% increase of the national minimum wage will take effect for the first pay period on or after 1 July 2019. The increase is lower than 2018’s increase of 3.5%. Slow economic growth, low inflation and increased tax transfer payments were cited as reasons for the decision.

Creating Responsible and Transparent Supply Chains in Australia
Production of products, goods and services in the global market place relies on a complex weave of international sourcing for components, ingredients and labour. With each country having it’s own set of labour laws it is of concern to many consumers whether they are supporting or encouraging ethical sourcing, and inadvertently supporting the growing trade in human trafficking or slave and child labour.

How to find your passion for business again: Highlights from the Nurture Her Conference
Women in business need to take time out of their busy schedule to unwind and refresh both physically and mentally. Reset and refocus for 2019 and step away from the to-do list or in my case, step into Fiji.
Why it’s important to protect your IP. What is your IP worth to you as an innovator?
A stable economic system can be measured by how well a country protects and manages its real property. As we’ve progressed over the past couple of decades to a knowledge-based economy the need to manage property rights has not changed but the tangibility of the property has. We live in a world driven by ideas and innovation and realising this value in commercialising intellectual property (IP) is something small to medium sized businesses are beginning to understand.

Final Property Settlement and Post Separation Behaviour - Family Law
When you settle your family court matter and arrive at a final property settlement, it is generally assumed by members of the general public that is that, it's final and everyone can move on. However, your final settlement may not stop ex-spouses from making a future claim on your estate. Unfortunately, this was the case for Dr. Lodin and others alike. An appeal case has recently been decided in the NSW Court of Appeal on this matter.

Is Your Brand Protected Here and Overseas?
Do you own your logo? Trade marking your brand.
Many businesses outsource a designer or design company to create a logo for them, although you paid other people to create YOUR logo, who actually owns it?
Have we forgotten how to talk with each other?
The simple art of conversation, but is it so simple? I am passionate about communication and its ability to make our lives better. It is very sad to see how breakdown in communication leads so quickly to breakdown in relationships. Relationships in business, in workplaces and at home. I don’t think in our modern society there would be anyone who could not tell you a story about relationship breakdown and the devastating effect it has had on them or someone very close to them. Relationship breakdown is emotional, time consuming and can be costly.
Leadership - It's a Big Job. Do You Have What it Takes to be a Great Leader?
I feel like a perpetual student. I’m now about to complete my masters but if I’m honest I love to learn, which is a good thing if you like to lead others. Leadership is as individual as the individual and I don’t think there is one magic formula to follow. At it’s core leadership is about influencing others and this requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
